Paul Miro is a singer/songwriter and musician who is probably best known as the frontman and songwriter of the 1990s rock band Apes, Pigs & Spacemen. He has also released numerous solo albums and has written songs for other artists, television programs, and feature films, as well as mixing and producing music for a wide range of music artists.
Born in Derby, England, Miro began his musical journey at a young age, starting out as a drummer at the age of three, playing in jazz bands from the age of ten. He started his first original band in his early teens. In the early 1990s, he formed Apes, Pigs & Spacemen. The band quickly gained a following in the UK rock scene with their unique blend of heavy metal, grunge, and alternative rock. The band recorded two albums (Transfusion and Snapshot) and a number of EPs for Music For Nations, followed by a third album, Free Pawn in 2003, before disbanding in 2005.
Since then, Miro has pursued a solo career, releasing over 20 albums independently. He has also worked as a songwriter and producer for other artists and worked with performers across a wide range of styles, including Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding and Graham Gouldman’s 10CC. He has written TV music for many companies, including EMI, Sony, Warner Brothers, (and many other Universal subsidiaries) BAM, Juice and Radea. His music features in thousands of TV shows.
Paul divides his time between a busy TV-composing schedule, mixing tracks for other artists, and producing his own material. He is a talented and versatile musician who is still going strong after over 20 years in the music industry.
